Accessibility Statement
OrthoCenter München strives to make its website accessible in accordance with the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz, BFSG) and the Accessibility Strengthening Ordinance (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsverordnung, BFSGV).
- Scope
This accessibility statement applies to the website:
https://www.orthocenter-muenchen.de
- Status of Compliance
This website is largely compliant with the requirements of EN 301 549 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.
An exception applies to certain points that are currently not technically feasible (see below). In accordance with § 17 BFSG, these constitute a disproportionate burden.
- Non-accessible Content
a) Non-compliance with applicable requirements
- ARIA-hidden element: On the homepage, an
aria-hiddenattribute is automatically set by the Slick library. This behaviour cannot currently be fully suppressed for technical reasons. - Scrollable areas without keyboard access: On the Team page, some scrollable areas are not fully operable via keyboard. This is due to the slider component in use, which does not offer an option for fully accessible keyboard control.
- Fieldset legends: On the Online Appointment page, an error is reported related to hidden fieldsets. The cause is a global issue in the Contact Form 7 (CF7) plugin.
b) Disproportionate burden (§ 17 BFSG)
Despite thorough reviews and repeated technical attempts, the issues described above could not be resolved.
The root causes lie in third-party libraries and plugins (e.g., Slick library, Contact Form 7), for which accessible alternatives are not currently available. Fully correcting these issues would require a structural rebuild of the website or complete replacement of core functionalities. This constitutes a disproportionate burden.
c) Content outside the scope of legislation
Not applicable.
