The deformity is then corrected by moving the affected bones into their appropriate positions and by securing them with wiring or a small screw. This provides for a narrower forefoot or corrected positioning of the small toe. The special shoes should be worn for about three weeks after the surgery, to ensure correct positioning of the foot. Around one month after surgery, additional <a href=\"https:\/\/ortho-center.eu\/en\/diagnostik\/\">x-rays<\/a> will be taken to ensure that everything is healing correctly and in the right place. If necessary, the wire that was used to secure the bones may need to be removed.
